at stove adapter, T with cleanout, 1 foot vertical, 90 elbow, then 2 feet horizontal, then end cap. this should make an EVL of 12.5 should be good for 3 inch. just wasn't sure if 4 inch would be better or would it be overkill. going to be running mostly corn in the Lancaster.

Hi all currently running a St. Croix Lancaster and decided to run more corn than pellets for next year. I am currently using 3 inch pipe, with an EVL of 12.5 I am thinking that next year going to change my venting and curious on opinions of venting pipe for use with corn. I may also go to 4 inch pipe if that is a better choice. Any info would be appreciated.
thanks

I personally like burning corn better than pellets. Next year I will most likely will burn mostly corn. I use my stove to save some money but most importantly to have better heat in the house. My place is only about 1000 sf. Even running corn at around $400.00 a ton is still cheaper than oil and propane. I have also noticed that allergies are acting up less with the stove.
just my 2 cents worth
Corn Vs pellets

I thank everyone for their input on the Bixby. Time will tell as to what I get next. My Lancaster is doing a good job of keeping us warm and not using any oil or propane. With this cold weather we have been having have been running some corn in the stove. The Lancaster loves corn more than pellets. Been doing a 60/40 to 75/25 mix corn to pellets. Next year if corn is under $400.00 a ton will burn corn.

bixbys very good if you read manual and pay attention to it ,prices right now

I thank you for the reply. I have always been impressed with what I have read about the Bixbys. I see some for around $750.00 on average, so I am thinking about one of those, I will be burning pellets mostly unless I can get corn for a reasonable price.
thanks

Hi Everyone
I am starting to look into another stove for next year. Currently I am using a St. Croix Lancaster to heat my small place, about 1100sf. I come across some Bixbys every so often and was wondering if that would be a good choice. My Lancaster was very cheap and have had to put nothing into it yet. Just looking for opinions.
thanks
