Well It ran fine for about 2 weeks with the blinking "A" light and did not shut down. Now it will not even start up. The auger will not turn to feed fuel into the fire pot. I the aggitator motor kicks in after the 3 minute start time. The auger is seated correctly as I can press the "on' button and it feed constantly and upon shut down will purge. Would the [ressure switch cause the auger not turn at all?..

Oh thanks for the Pack comment!. We got them the first time, but tough to win there with a quauter back that had not thrown a pass all year. lol

Thanks Firepot i went through and I think I reset to factory settings. the exhaust blower fan runs and stove started, nice thins with the weather here in minnesota around zero. The only thing that is happening now is the A light flashes about every 5 seconds. I put the blower fan back in and used high temp rtv instead of the gasket. Might this be causing the A light to flash? Stove is running fine, auger is feeding ect..
Thanks for all your help.

Alright, tested fan... ran consistantly hoked up to 120 volts. Hooked it back into the connectiions and still started for about 5 seconds and then stopped. Called Ammerican Stove Company, they instructed me to bypass the pressure switch by removing the wiring connections and jumping them with a paper clip, had the same problem. I also bypassed the low limit switch by this manner and had the same results. Any sugeestions?

Thanks,
Mike

I took the fan out and tried starting the unit. It kicked in and ran fast for about 3-5 seconds then slowed down and stopped. I unplugged the fan tested the connections where the motor was plugged in at and I had 120 Volts the whole time. Can I assume that the fan is shot?

Thanks Mike

Running a 6039 with ABC control. I just bought this stove used and it ran for about 2 weeks really well. I tried to start it the other day and it would not stay running. It sounds like the exhaust fans starts and then slows down and or stops. I took the fan off and to clean out and it still does not work. The gasket was brittle and I tried to get back into place.

A coupled of questions:
Is the fan shot or might there be a wiring problem?
Will a bad gasket prevent start up?
Will the motor run while out of the blowre housing?

any help would be great..
