Cleaning my stove today and I found that my secondary heat exchanger is full of holes. I got this stove used and when I got it and took it apart I noticed that it seemed that had not been kept all that clean. I have cleaned it many times since I got it and now it has holes it in and the pipes are not connected at the top. Now it was not that bad in the stove, but once I found a bad spot I really started to clean it up and found some weak spots.

Where can I get parts and a price list. I have a dealer about 50 miles away but I don't have time to drive there during the day and he has nothing on hand. I would like to just order something and have it dropped at the house.

I must have it set fair then by what Bixby says. The only thing is my glass gets some black around the edge after 18-24 hours.....

I cleaned the stove good the other night, pellets are not hard on the stove like corn is that is for sure!!

Ok- so with the snow storm and not getting to the big city, and helping my mom and dad get ready to head south for the winter, I got these made yesterday. Put it in the stove and checked it this morning. It was in there for 12 hours and worked super!! My wife will be so happy!!

Ok- I can make that. Today I have a 6-7 inch bolt that I use but like I said falls off- I can see where that would work much better. What did you use to make that?? Is it just thick wire?

Now I know what I am doing Saturday morning!!

Picture would be great. It had burned 26 hours as of tonight and I have burned about 2 1/4 bags and I got some big chunks out but I am thinking I am going to need to get more of that out......

Should I be slowing down my fan on the negative draft kit Allen?

I started to burn wood pellets this year and it seems I am having a hard time getting the clinker out. I burned the other day for about 14 hours and when it cooled down it was all most dust!!

I did start the stove yesterday as it is getting cold here now and I will need to try and remove it again tonight..... any tricks? Do I just take it out in small chunks?

I have this set up. I have only burned it for a few house since I installed it just to see how it worked. Seems to work just fine.

Sorry, I don't look at this stuff all that much, but I can say that I purchased the kit from Bruce for my 7100. Now with temps in the 80's in Oct in MN it has not been burned yet. Well I did start it after I got the kit on and let it run for an hour or so. It is very quiet, and it seems to work very good. Can't wait to give it a good try once things get colder.

Now if you want to talk customer service, Sparta is second to NONE!! I tried to get info in the past from Amazablaze and would get just pissed as they would tell me to find a dealer in my area.... well there is nothing that is close other thank a car who does auto repair and sells stoves also....... Sparta was great. I am sure that Bruce was sick of my questions by the end of all of this but I wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting.

I did have to change my exhaust pipe some and I used a SS flex to do so. Only thing that I am not sure about as you go up and out and pieced fit into eachother, you always want to go inside of the next pipe...... That did not work for me in the one spot and I put some high temp around it and then some of the foil tape. I don't think it is going to make a differance.

Is there a need to clean the pellets? Seems like they are clean in the bag....... ??

I did not see any....... Maybe that is why I got a good deal....


He did tell me this is the same fan others are using.

I need to adjust the air yet, what should the flame look like? Color? Height?

Got the kit installed, and purchased 4 tons of pellets. I did fire it up and it seem to burn really nice. I did not give it more air...... What should the flame look like with pellets burning?

I the pellets for 189 ton, then got a Fleet Farm credit card so they gave me another 10% off...... 182 ton with tax!!

So now they are talking about a different auger. They say there is a multi-fuel auger....... Is that true and do I need it?

I am going to order the kit just not sure about the auger, and I just hope I can clean out the ash good without shutting down.

I was thinking that I may not be able to "pop" it out like I could with corn and I did not want to have to shut down everyday!!

I think I am going to order the negative draft kit then so I can burn pellets. From what I understand that is the only thing that I need to change to make it work safely!! ..... and adjust the air.
