I don't want to beat on the thing to hard because I am scared to bend the auger shaft or dislodge the auger????? kind of frustrating....

I am not able to see how the reducer gear is held onto the auger.
I do-not see any key or split pin
I have removed the motor off the gear drive and now need to get the gear drive off.
It looks like as soon as I pulled the motor off an internal gear dropped out of position because I cannot re-install the motor spline.

Is it just pressed on or am I missing something. It is difficult to see everything going on because it is hidden by the unit.

Advice???
