thanks for the help Kapp...

the breaker is fine, and checked it by plugging something else in the plug and it works....i checked the snap disc on the back of the auger tube, i also checked the one on the right of the machine as you open it and its fine, the fuse looked good but replaced anyway just in case...and still nothing....

Hello All,

Had a funny situation happen this morning......I was cleaning the ash pan out and stove was doing its cycle just fine, then I went to replace the ash pan and I saw a blue spark come out from where the igniter is and the stove just shut down....

Checked the fuse, its fine, checked the wiring around the igniter, its not great but looks functional...I just cant figure out why the whole thing wont work, and I dont mean igniter doesnt work, I mean no lights on, no fans going...nothing...

Any suggestions on what it could be?

From what Im reading here, if your igniter goes out your stove still works, except for the igniter...

any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Old thread, but this just happened to me so wanted to add my two cents. I thought I had a short as well when I was blowing fuses, but it ended up being that pellet stoves take a slow burning fuse as opposed to a normal fuse. Radio shack sells them

after blowing two fuses and not knowing why it was because of this, but in turn it blew my fuse holder. i bought a $3 fuse holder and bypassed the built in on the unit.

Hello All, I am a newly registered guy but have been reading troubleshooting posts for about a year or so(THANK YOU FOR THE HELP). I have an inherited quad santa fe, that I have fixed so much I can probably get a job working on them. one thing i will say is that when it works, it works pretty well.I just recently fixed it again and wanted to say something about fixing one of these things.

Ive learned to start with the basic of basics first, vacuum lines, fuse, bad thermostat connection, burn pot closed, snap disc(k) resets....

every time i look at troubleshoot in the manual it always says to replace the motherboard....i took the initiative to find a local dealer and take the board to them...the service manager at my local dealer is awesome and will put my board on to one of his showroom models to confirm if its working....saved me about $350 yesterday...
