what these people dont realise is they are going to price pellets so high they wont be worth burning and in turn stove manufacturers will close down and there will be no market for pellets ...

got a farm mag in the mail today they figure corn will be dropping to the $4.00 a bushel in the near future
I noticed someone here made a pellet mill ........something I am interested in making has anyone else built a working pellet mill .
I am a maintenance mechanic/millwright and one place a worked in for a while made hay cubes for horses I tried to talk them into making stove pellets but they werent interested the process is similar hay is dried to a certain moisture the fed through an auger which forces it through the cubing dies

Ontario near Lake Huron
these high corn /pellet prices up here are putting manufacturers of stoves out of business almost the same price to heat with other sources I also have a wood electric furnace but try to not use the electric part unless we are away ...just to keep the pipes from freezing

Hi
My name is sean I am using a stove made here in Ontario by Grain stoves Inc in Blyth
it will burn corn ,pellets, grain ,
Just replaced the auger bearing and motor/gearbox drive for the auger as the bearing seized up and took out the mickey mouse fibre gears in the gearbox ......of course you cant buy gearbox parts separately so had to replace the whole thing
corn up here is around $6.85 a bushell and wood pellets are around $5.50 a bag either one isnt cheap heat just wondering what you guys are paying ...?
