I don't have the timers on mine, I use a Corntrol. There should be lots of burners here with a furnace similar to yours with the timers...America's Heat, LDJ, Big M, and both Kernel Burners should operate the same way.
On mine, the pot auger and the hair dryer run continuously, and the Corntrol operates the bin auger depending on the call for heat.
What fuel are you burning?

I think your Kernel Burner is the same basic design as my LMF.
The combustion fan (hair dryer) should be running all the time, at least mine does.

My manometer is a Dwyer Model 25 Mark II. I had my local plumbing and heating shop order it for me...it was about 45 bucks. Probably could have done better online, but I didn't want to mess with it.
This is my first furnace, and it came with the Corntrol already installed. I've heard that they now come on all LMF's unless you specify you don't want one. I don't know how it compares to the timer method, but this one is pretty much "set it and forget it" so far. The room temperature never varies more than plus or minus one degree.
It's supposed to save fuel, but I don't have anything to compare it to.

When I was having those problems, I spoke with a tech at LMF. I wasn't allowing enough air through the combustion fan. I'll attach a pic of where it's set now.
They also told me to reduce my draft to .02, and you'll need a manometer to do this accurately. Before I installed the manometer I was trying to regulate my draft by guessing, and it was way too high.
I increased my MIN feed to 9, and I don't know how that would correlate to yours if you're not using the Corntrol system.
Those changes did it for me...now when the furnace is idling, there's a very small fire way down in the bottom of the pot and it fires right up when the house cools down and the Corntrol thermostat calls for heat.

Merry Christmas to everyone here on IBC. Please say a prayer for my youngest son who is a young Marine fighting in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. And make that prayer for all our troops, please.
Everyone have a blessed New Year!

I installed the 100k hot air furnace with Corntrol and powervent in October. I had a few issues right away, like the room air fan cycling on and off too much, and the fire going out when the outside temps got too warm.
I called the factory and made the adjustments they suggested. Since then, it's been running great. -20 to +45, makes no difference...it's 72 in this 2500 sq. foot house all the time!
I'm happy so far...
Great board!

My new LMF went out and filled the pot twice last week. It happened during the idle mode when outside temps were around 40. It would also overshoot the set point by about 5 degrees. This was a powervented furnace, so maybe your problem isn't related to draft.
I had a phone conversation with Les at LMF, and he had me open the air intake to 3/4" at the widest point, increase my MIN on the Corntrol to 8, and set the draft to .02. After these changes, this thing is purring along perfectly. The temp stays right at the setpoint, and in idle mode, it keeps a small glow in the bottom of the pot until the house cools down.
Not sure what your setup is, but this is the 100K, with powervent and Corntrol.
I'm burning 90/10 corn/pellets.

Lots to be thankful for here...saw a message on Facebook my USMC son got his care package today in Helmand Province, Afghanistan in time for Thanksgiving! Of course it's tomorrow there, now.
22 degrees and the LMF is cooking away in the basement...
