Replace boot on dump arm that was worn out. Replaced gasket for feed wheel. Stove has never run as well. Only problem now is occasion jamming of pellets on feed wheel. Can't win them all. Thats a minor isssue. Even the glass is staying cleaner. No more 2-3 flahing etc. Thanks again for the help. mike obsgl (old but still good looking)

Got a Bixby 115. Using pellets. Stove is cycling off and showing lights 3 and 5 flashing. Also on start up the heating level lights will flash when calling for heat or not calling for heat. System runs on a thermostat. I looked in the manual and this is not a problem listed. Please help its cold out side. This is the 4th season for use.

I mdon't know if its the best but I augar the corn to the top of 500 and 1000 gal poly tanks. I then run it all down over a double screen to clean cob/stems and fines. Works well when corn was 150 per ton. Dosn't work at all with corn over 300. Havn't felt the need to clean my 189/ton pellets.

I use in line duct fans. They are noisey but I calculate that I change the air in the basement every 30 minutes. I have 2 fans pulling heat off the nbsement ceiling and one pulling cold air down the cold return to the basement. My basements is on a thermostat at 75 degress. The first floor ranges from 67-72. Usually 3 degress lower than the basement. The 2nd floor is about 2 degrees colder. I burn a Bixby 115 on a corn pellet mix. About 10% pellets. We just hd a 9 F 24 hr period the mainfloor was 68-70 on level 6. I don't recommend relying on the stove for all your heat. It works for me because of the fans and 6" of foam insulation in the walls. 09-10 savings were about $2000 off propane cost and $250 more in less electrical usage on the gas furnace fan blower. The hose is warm. I'm happy.

Just a question that popped up while reading the blogs. If the feed wheel seal is worn or functioning below optimum, will the flame act like is being blown on from the feed tube. I burned only corn my first year and noticed this. I burn a mix of corn/pellets and still seee it. I expect a small change in the flam when fuel added, but this looks like a puff of air too. Any thoughtd thanks a head of time mike

I started using about a 1:10 of wood pellets to corn. Ben running for 2wks now with no problems. Clikers are sometimes misshaped but are more crumbly and shear off better. NO JAMS as of tonite. Now I have to break down and shut the stove off to clean what a change. Before It shut off a couple times a week and I would vacuum it out and clean it up. What a change. Thankyou to all for the input.

interested in mix ratio for wood pellets to corn in a bixby . I have a problem with a sporadic shut down, jamed clinkers even when the stove may have burned well for several days. If I change the settings it only gets worse. I thoiught maybe the wood pellets would soften the clinker. any help is appreciated
