Hi Tom do you mean the fuse in the cornburner or the one in the fuse panel?

I have a scf-50 to and have worked on the auger. It is a pain to get back in. If you open the firebox door and take a mirror and flashlight and look up the feed shoot you can see the end of the auger and the bushing it goes in.

I am trying to come up with an easier way to put packing peanuts in a hopper at work. don't have alot of space for one of those canvas hoppers that hangs from the ceiling. So am looking for something I can make using vacume or air.

Here in east central ia it was all over the board but not good. I had from 15 to 35 bushel to acer on corn ad 10 to 40 on beans. Although had about best oats ever about 100 to acer. Not much hay what I have is real nice but not much.

Here in north central IA. things are dry. Need some rain. Corn is starting to roll had 6 tenths week and a half ago lucky we got that. Oats are starting to turn to.

I have one it dose alright. Have two story 1700 sq ft plus 900 basement. It dose good down to -10 to -15 wish it had 5000 more btus. How big of a house are you heating and how well is it insulated?

You might want to try a product called cab fresh. It is used to keep mice out of tractor cabs.

If you have a volt meter try to ohm out the wires. unhook the wires at the burner and check for continuity with the thermostat asking for heat and not asking for it. You might just have a loose conection. This will tell you if the wires and thermostat are working. What kind of thermostat do you have I use a programable one and just set it at 70.Hope this helps.

Just looked in my manual you dont change jumpers for the thermostat. The only time you change a jumper is if you are burning strait pellets.

I've had my SCF-50 for five years now. My house is 1700 sq ft plus 800 sq ft of basement in central Iowa. It dose good down to -15 then it needs help if it is windy out. then I run the wood burner or let the fuel oil help. I also have mine hooked in the duct work on the hot air side but not the return I just took an end cap off the cold air return in the room it gives it enough air. And I hooked it up to a thermostat that way it can cut back when the house is warm and not burn as much corn.

Corn and beans both look good here. Had some wind 2 weeks ago about 3% of corn bent over just enough to be hard to combine.

Well looked at corn today is shoulder high and looks good. warm weather last few days helped.

I'm in east central iowa and things look good here. Just got done spraying corn and sidedressing nitrogen. Had some hail yesterday marble size.
