Very interesting burning wood in warmer temp. When it starts warming up i usually shut my boiler down when i run out of corn/pellets.

I bet my boiler came out before it was a standard equipment, but i am gonna look into putting it on mine. Backburn is the biggest thing i worry about on my boiler.

I have never heard of a safety system that protects from back burn. How does this system work???

I am burning about the same amount,but mine is a 40/60 corn pellet mixture. Cant wait for the bushel, bushel and a half days!!!!!!

My maxim 175 burns it straight out of the combine. Two years and no problems!!!!!

I also had to replace my stirrer along with the burn pot. The burn pot split along the welded corner so most of the air was leaving through there instead of the holes. Both items seem to be made out of better material. Central boiler was very helpful and i am happy they are putting out quality replacement parts.

I burned 100% corn last year and planned on doing the same this year but with the corn prices high and farmer buddies saying its only going higher i decided to go 50/50 corn/ pellets. Seems i burn alittle more than 100% corn but one good thing is a lot less ash.

You may want to read some of the old forum. I believe you may need to turn down the fan speed. The info is in the other boilers section.
