Thanks for the info. Mike and Barb from Natures Heat saw to it the I got what I needed. It was a little pricey but it came with some extra parts that I thought I would not need, But I did and made the new instillation go alot easier. She is back up and running and I'm happy again!
Thanks again Mike and Barb.

Thanks.
Yeah a good cleaning just after a one ton burn. And she was dirty, Next cleaning in a 1/2 ton.
More bolts = more clamping. Get a glove on and sung them while their hot and they should rust in and not move at all.
I want to find an easy way to drill and tap the bottom ring, install a piece of all thread and clamping it all together, Without pulling it all apart. I still have air leaking in and cooling the ash off to fast or superheating it.

Lets drag up this old thread. forum.iburncorn.com/viewtopic.php?t=5431 The saga drags on. But still having fun.
I'm happy to see that Dell-Point listen to the issue with the top plate warping. Getting the stove ready this year I found that the foil gasket failed. Not surprising. So I went out to the shop and rummaged around and found a couple of old header bolts and the old top plate. Drilled a few holes and taped them placed it on top of existing plate and cranked down on the header bolts until no gaps could be seen. So far its been working good and a easy fix.

Dreamer if you take a dollar bill and place it between the door and the stove it should clamp down on the bill pretty good. I replaced my door gasket last year with a thicker one. Was a bit of a pain the first few times. Had to push hard to make it shut, So I didn't break the handle, But settled in real nice.

Hay Rookie, Just shut mine down for a good cleaning before Christmas company. She has been burning since early October and a little over a ton of pellets thru it. Did not seem to reduce heat output of it either. It seemed to run a little hotter?

From what I'm told you should never run any pure synthetic top oil or motor oil with any alcohol based fuel. The higher the precent of alcohol the faster the damage happens. If you have any type of fuel wash in the cylinder the oil will brake down. And yes fuel driers and stabilizers need to be used along with fuel filters changed more often.

I'm figuring I have to come up with some kind of duct fan. Yeah I would love to tap some hot water heat from my stove to a coil down stairs.
Our basement is 2/3 out of the ground, not much holding the heat in. Already had low 30's touch of the high 20's. to early for that around here. You guys to the northwest can you try to keep more of that cold air up there. Please.

Dam DSL went down in my area. Did not seem to be a big issue with my provider. There reply to me was "ONLY 371 CUSTOMERS ARE EFFECTED AND THEY'RE WORKING ON IT". My reply to them was if it is only 371 customers then why, why does it take 24 Hr. to figure it out!!!
All said and done they fixed the problem. Funny thing, There is still a problem in my area but I'm not being effected anymore. How strange. Sounds like a bunch of crap to me. I'm starting to know how alien abduction victims feel. Call me chicken little, But I feel I was Probed. Sorry for the rant, got to get another beer!!

I'm looking for some ideas on moving heat from my first floor to my basement. Due to the install of a tankless water heater, the old hot water tank was the only source of heat downstairs. Just in the mildly cold weather we have had hear I can notice that is somewhat cooler down their. Prior years when temps. dropped to the 20˚ it was dam cold and required another heat source, a kerosene heater.
The only thing I can think of is to run a 3" duct from the room the stove is in at the ceiling and pull the air downstairs. Is there anyone that had to deal with this. Short of putting another small stove down their. Trying to get it done on the cheap.
