Guy wants $500 for it. I seem to find more negative then positive posts about the 6100. Should I run from it? I have a 1200 sf uninsulated home. I heat with fs pellet stoves, yep two of em. I was thinking I could maybe put this in and just run it and one on low to pick up the slack on really cold nights. Also looking for more even heat throughout the house. I already have an unused return air down in the basement from a previous furnace install. The unused ducts for that install are closed up floor joists with duct grates on either end of the house. Just wonder if buying this would be a big headache or a benefit? Im going to look at it tomorrow so im hoping someone will see this before then. Thoughts?

PS: I only burn pellets now.

I pulled the blower assembly off to inspect, turns out it wasnt all that dirty. I ruined a gasket for nothing but peace of mind. I noticed the blower housing assembly just has red sealant on all the joints. Its like it was tacked together then sealed with sealant instead of welding. Most of the sealant is loose and in bad shape. I'm thinking of just welding this thing up solid. This must be why I kept getting smoke smell and felt drowsey while running this. I slept pretty good most of last winter...lol. Never set off any of the 3 carbon monoxide sensors I have though.

My stove seems to be running better this season. I added a few more feet to the stack and that helped. I seem to be getting some smokey smell though and I cant see any smoke on start up in the dark with flashlight. Any other Cumberland guys get this?

I see they have an attatchment for the 3800 that allows you to plumb your stove into heat ducts. Wonder why that cant be used on the other models? The frame of the stove looks the same. I wouldnt mind having this plumbed to heat duct but I'm not sure sure the fan would blow hard enough. Maybe thats why its only for the 3800, might have a bigger blower.

I bought a APU for mine but I can't run off the thermostat with it. It keeps tripping the APU when it goes to relight.

Thanks for the help. I swapped the relays out with the ones in my truck and it didn't make any difference but I got to noticing a small gold piece of channel and it had two fuses in it. One of the fuses was melted but the metal hadn't severed so this must be why the problem was only there about 80 percent of the time. New fuse fixed it. They really camoflauge those fuses I never knew they were there.

The model is a Scag Super Z with a 52" deck and a 22 hp Kohler Command. I don't have all the details with me right now (at work at the moment) but I'll try to get them posted as soon as I can.

Yes, I have been reading page after page of useless google hits on this issue for the past 5 days. I thought this might be a better avenue since there seems to be alot of farmers on this forum and they tend to have these type mowers not to mention alot of technical knowledge on issues like this. Thanks for suggesting Google but it isn't working out all that well.

Looking for a good forum to get help with my Scag mower. I'm not getting any responses on the ones I have posted on and my grass is getting pretty tall. I'll going ahead and mention the issue in case someone might have some tips. It will only stay running with the starter engaged. Turn the key to start, it will fire and run for two seconds. Hold the key in the start position (hard on the starter) and it will stay running. I have replaced ignition switch and fuel solenoid. Don't want to replace my mower!

Appologies if I have overstepped forum boundries but I'm at a loss. I refuse to pay the dealer labor prices and they refuse to give me trouble shooting advice, so I need some help from other sources.

I haven't had to do anything to mine for two years. The exhaust blower got a little noisy but it just needed cleaning. This thing is a tank.

I was pretty dissapointed at tax time. They told me I can't claim this stove because I bought it used. I should have bought the AE I guess.

That stove won't burn pellets with just the correct pipe. You have to buy the Negative draft kit to burn pellets. That add is a little misleading.

IF it weren't for unions all the trade workers would be working in unsafe conditions with no benefits for whatever they felt like paying you for as long as they felt like working you and your child would probably be working right along side you instead of in school.
