Thanks Rona I'll test the fan. Any idea what a control board goes for these days on a PC45??

Hello all. My distribution fan on my 5 year old PC45 is surging, even the light on the control board dims as it surges. It does not always do it but it is becoming frequent. Would this be a fan issue or a control board issue? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

I still have a pretty descent need for a truck bed, lots of moving manure, compost and other materials. Just need the truck to also be a bit of a family hauler at times.

Thanks all, I am now also thinking about a mid size P/U like a tundra or Titan and buying a trailer. I just don't have the hauling needs I used to, but still need a truck bed so perhaps a smaller truck with a trailer may give me my best bang for the buck. You all have been most helpful, thanks so much!

I am having to trade my 1-ton in for a half-ton. Anyone had issues hauling a ton of corn or pellets at a time in the bed of a half-ton truck? Thanks.

American Wood Fiber bags here in Ohio come from the plant in Circleville. Perhaps there is more than one plant producing under that name. I burned them a couple years ago and liked them, but Somersets came around for a better price so I have went with them for the past two seasons.

Due to the layout of out old farmhouse we are really not getting any of our PC-45's heat into the upstairs bedrooms. I am sure that cutting an opening from the ceiling of the room the stove is in, which will open into the hallway upstairs I would achieve a good way to transfer heat upstairs. I would line this opening with sheet metal and have cast iron grates over the cut-outs. My question is do any of you know if this would be an issue with our home owners insurance? Anyone else done this? Thanks!

Only times this has happened to me I wipe the probe with a damp cloth and just unplug the stove and power it back up. Never had to do anything else. Hope this helps.

I will wholeheartedly recommend Sally's Hearth & Home in Pataskala Ohio just East of Columbus. They have been great, granted I have only had to contact them once in 3 years because the PC-45 has been bombproof so far but that one time was nothing short of excellent service.
