Ya it took forever to get it fixed. I have since removed it from my house and replaced with my old faithful PC 45 harman. I have decided to sell the unit and cut my lose. Im now looking at another PC45 for my shop and maybe installing a boiler kit in it for my shop and for in my house. Thanks for the help guys.

i had the same issue with my pc 45. It was the control board. I bought a new one as the outfit that repairs them said no garentee and then i would be out even more money so i bought new. It was $212 canadian for one. I looked at it if it cost 100 bucks to rebuild and then died in 6 months then i was gonna be out 100 bucks more than just buying a new board. Just a though.

Well i guess time has told its truth already. I have been really pleased so far until tonite. When i first got the stove the air pump was plumbed backwards and was pulling hot air into the pump and not pushing it out across the ignitor. So now i have a dead air pump and dead ignitor. Just waiting to hear from dealer. Im kinda missing my harman tonite. Good thing i kept one.

SASKMAN,Any idea as to how long your motor lasted ? I know you have to run pretty hard.

O i think the only reason the last one i replaced was cause i couldnt get the fan off and i had to smack it out with a hammer and punch and i wrecked the motor. But it was about 4 years old i think. I did have to replace one on my newer stove after a year but im not sure why it went. But it was good after that. I run my stoves hard, but not over, I think it had more to do with what i was burning. I found that barley was very hard on the fan for some reason, it left alot of residue compared to other grains.

Mine made a humming noise but it was cause there was a build up around the fan. When my fan went the last time it was cause it basically seized while running.

Just sold one of my PC-45s to try one of these stoves. It sure seems to put out heat when it runs but cant seem to keep it running. Just wondering if anyone else has one. I sure miss my harman right now, but i wanted a bigger stove and these guys had the answer. Its a Maxx-M 70,000 BTU and able to heat 2700 sq/ft. Hence why i thought i would give them a try.

No corn for me. No pellets for me. Im burning Flax. You think corn is bad, flax is $17 bushel(60lb). Luckly we scored some for free cause it was all full of errgot and other crap. Cant afford to burn the good stuff. Even oats is 3.60 up here and thats enough. I remember when i bought my stove i had enough grain coming in that it didnt matter but now that prices are up, no one is giving anything away.
So who is going to b ...
