I have to agree with olf20,if 10.00 bucks is all it would of taken to have the problem not be an issue. then I dont think AES was customer focused in this area. I would call it adding value to the product, after all if your were going to purches a corn/pellet stove would 10.00 bucks make or brake your discision to purchase it, considering it cost 2700.00 bucks in the first place. I dont think so. I on my second latch and it to failed to...

Cornman why doesn't AES partner up with this sight to answer peoples questions and listen to their comments, after all this is the mainstream of corn burners. I would think it would be adventageous for AES. This sight is always fresh and new.

hey B I would definetly try puting your original stir pot back in with wood pellets for expermental purposes and lets see how the stove reacts..I think its going to do one of two things act the same or put us on the road to recovery.and hopefully point us in the right direction.

Still an issue.

B if you still have your original stir pot put that in service with wood pellets and see how that operates.it may aid in finding the problem area.

Still an issue.

rona is correct about the fly ash on the side of the house.this is tipical of burning corn in the 3500 with the factory burn pot and stir however burning wood pellets in it for one winter with the stir system showed me that fly ash issue was gone.or burning corn with the tri stage stir free burn pot.thats one of the reasons I chose a countryside,it has a wide range of fuel options.just a tid bit of claraficationfor for ya,other wise my next choice would have been st croix or harmin...one note the fly ash came off with a garden hose and nosel on a warm febuary day.
